The Book Genie helps you build a custom shopping cart by selecting:
- Age groups
- Language preferences

Once complete, the cart can be converted into a Wish List Cart.
What is a Wish List Cart?
A Wish List Cart is a finalized book selection that can be shared with donors for funding.
How do we share our Wish List?
You can:
- Send a direct link to potential donors
- Use our geo-location page to connect with local donors
- Allow KidsBookOutlet to send a donor invitation on your behalf
Do we have to pay for the books?
No. Donors fund the purchase. The books are shipped directly to your organization.
For Donors
Do I need to be tax-exempt?
No. Donors do not need tax-exempt status. You are funding books on behalf of a qualified nonprofit organization.
Can I choose which organization to support?
Yes. You may:
- Fund a specific organization's shared Wish List link
- Select a Wish List through our geo-location platform
Where do the books ship?
Books ship directly to the nonprofit organization — always with free shipping.
Can I see what I am purchasing?
Yes. Each Wish List clearly outlines the selected titles, quantities, and total cost before purchase.

What happens after a donor funds a Wish List?
The Wish List is converted into a completed order and processed for shipment.
How long does shipping take?
Shipping timelines depend on order size and inventory but are processed promptly after purchase.
